“There are many rooms in my Father’s house, and I am going to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2, Today’s English Version).

Jesus’ words offer one of the best definitions of “church:” a place of belonging. In the Father’s house, there is room for all of us. Everyone finds a place of belonging in the household of faith.

That’s Wieuca. One of the comments that I hear from newcomers is that for a large church, we are remarkably intimate, loving and caring. People instantly feel like they belong.

We not only belong to each other. We believe we belong to our community. We belong to those whom others sometimes overlook, so we serve through partnerships with Buckhead Christian Ministry, the Atlanta Union Mission, and Habitat for Humanity. We belong to the hurting, so we offer counseling ministries to help those who struggle and support groups for those in grief. We belong to families of all shapes and sizes, so we provide quality Dayschool programs, After-School care and seminars for newlyweds. We belong to the world, so we build homes in Mexico, sponsor a school in Liberia, and support missionaries in dozens of countries. We find our place of belonging at the corner of Peachtree and the world.

And most importantly, we belong to God. We share God’s presence in worship, celebrate God’s grace through music and the arts, experience God’s power in prayer, and grow in God’s love in small groups.

At Wieuca, we belong in a community of people with a heart for God, a heart for others, in the heart of Buckhead. And here, there is a place for you, too.

            Grace and peace to you,
