March  26-28:  March Mission Madness
March Mission Madness—March 26-28

Mission Madness weekends involve church youth groups gathering at a host church, hotels, and the nearby community for a well-rounded and intense weekend of mission service, worship, fellowship, food, and fun!

The term “madness” is used because youth groups receive wristbands on Friday night (i.e. three red, three blue, etc), and group members are thereby intermingled to serve on different mission sites. So a youth group of fifteen people will serve on four or five mission sites along with members of other church groups. This mixed-up madness process allows each church youth group to experience a number of different service opportunities, as they mix, mingle, and make new friends.

This is exciting news. We will be going to San Juan, Puerto Rico this upcoming summer. We will be working with Iglesia Bautista de Metropolis. The pastor, Jesus Garcia, has been very helpful and is excited for our opportunity to join him in the mission of God in Puerto Rico. We will be able to join in a variety of different service opportunities. We will have opportunities to fellowship and work a long side of the youth in Jesus’ congregation.

We are still working out the numbers for a final price, but our goal is to keep this trip $400.

Deposit is due on January 24, 2010 = $100
