Summer Sermons

May 30: Joel Harrison, Lead Missionary for the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association, is preaching "Checking Your Baggage Is Costly" (Matthew 28:18-20)

It is nothing new for Jesus's followers to navigate the past, present, and future intersections.

June 6 Message: “Pitch Your Tent in the Land of Hope” (Acts 2:22-28)

Connie McNeill, Coordinator for Administration for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and a WRBC member, reminds us that we can live in hope because of God’s faithfulness – which often comes to us through scarred hands.

June 13 Message: “Finish the Drill” (Philippians 1:6)

Eddie Rains, Wieuca’s “Coach,” challenges us to be passionate about our calling by praying, modeling and teaching one another for the purpose of winning the world to Christ “one soul at a time, for all time, until the end of time.”

June 20 Message: “God’s Field Hands” (1 Corinthians 3:5-9, 21-23)

Bill Givens, retired pastor and a WRBC member and Sunday School teacher, draws from the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth to remind us that every member is crucial in the work of God’s Kingdom.

June 27 Message:  “When We Don’t Live Happily Ever After” (Psalm 51, 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Ron Grizzle, a former pastor in Georgia and Alabama who now serves as the Director of the Center for Teaching Churches at McAfee School of Theology, encourages us that when we face brokenness, failure, and fear, God remakes us and offers us a new start.
