Wieuca’s Ministry Organization
Wieuca’s mission reminds us that we are “becoming a community with a heart for God and a heart for others from the heart of Buckhead.” So we organize our ministries to help us develop passion for God and express care and concern for others. Our church is structured around ministry councils, committees and teams. These groups develop strategy, provide resources and implement hands-on ministries that serve others.
Ministry Councils
Wieuca’s ministry councils develop the strategic direction of our ministry around our values of worship, spiritual formation, ministry/caregiving, fellowship and evangelism/missions. The councils, made up of church members and pastoral staff, set priorities and identify the specific ministry initiatives for each of these areas. The Church Leadership Council brings together representatives of each of the councils and coordinates Wieuca’s strategic plan.
Ministry Committees
A handful of church Committees serves as the resourcing arm for Wieuca’s strategic plan. They ensure that our church facilities, finances, personnel, marketing and technology are aligned to support the ministry initiatives developed by the Councils.
Ministry Teams
Wieuca employs a “team” approach to ministry. This is the grassroots expression of our ministry strategy. Church members channel their passions for others into teams that address a wide range of needs: from the homeless to hospitality for internationals; from music to the visual arts; from Habitat to healthcare; from marriage enrichment to grief recovery; from sports to prayer. A multitude of ministries reflect Wieuca’s heart for others within our church family, our community and the world.
