The Senior Adult Ministry at Wieuca seeks to help seniors use their skills, insights, and abilities in new ways as we move into the second half of life. We believe that God desires to use us fully and completely throughout our lives. Wisdom gained, insights gleaned, hands ready to work are all important in this area of ministry.
Many use their abilities working on our annual Habitat House. Others provide transportation for medical services for folks who can no longer drive. Some volunteer to help with Lifespan Services in the fall semester at Wieuca. Some drive the church vans to provide transportation to church or to provide shuttle service from off campus parking. Many teach Sunday School, lead committees, and facilitate discipleship groups. Many participate in mission opportunities locally and mission trips nationally and internationally. No matter what our life stage or situation, God uses available people. That’s the desire of the senior adult ministry at Wieuca— to be available to God!
